The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a moderate loss today, falling by 16.29 points (0.60%) to close at 2,672.58. This follows a loss of 7.79 points in the previous trading session.
The benchmark index opened at 2661.13 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,695.86 and a low of 2,657.63 before settling at the close. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 3.38 Arba, with 7,548,591 shares traded across 337 companies through 44,651 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.93 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.51 Kharba.
Reliance Spinning Mills Limited (RSML) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 24.38 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 3,024.00.
Everest Colour Limited (ECL) led the gainers' list with a 15.00% gain. The stock closed at Rs. 1,138.60.
Meanwhile, Kalinchock Hydropower Limited (KHPL) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 14.99%. The last traded price of the company was Rs. 902.00.
Among sectors, the HydroPower Index recorded the highest fall, falling by 1.20%, while the Finance Index recorded the least loss, down 0.13%.
