NEPSE Plunges By 1.26% to Settle at 2,704.08 Level; NRN Tops the Turnover

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double digit loss today, declining by 34.63 points (1.26%) to settle at 2,704.08. This comes after fall of of 5.73 points in the previous trading session on 30th April.

 

The benchmark index opened at 2739.04 and reached an intraday high of 2,742.58, while the day’s low stood at 2,697.14. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 4.26 Arba, with 10,074,524 shares traded across 341 companies through 68,635 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 46.11 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.38 Kharba.

NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 31.36 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 1,395.00.

Forward Microfinance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (FOWAD) Led the gainer's list with 15.00%. The Stock closed at Rs. 1,260.40.


Meanwhile, Corporate Development Bank Limited (CORBL) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 12.58%, the last traded price of the company was Rs. 2,098.00.


Among sectors, the Microfinance Index registered the minimal gain by 0.14 points, while Manufacturing And Processing recorded highest fall, falling by 2.54%.
