NEPSE Plunges Again: 74 Point Crash Ends Government Honeymoon as Bearish Grip Tightens

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a Sharp Decline today, declining by 74.73 points (2.62%) to settle at 2,776.36. The chart shows there are no buyers in the market and selling pressure is heavy, and investor are loosing the confidence over the market due sharp decline today.

The benchmark index opened at 2,851.64, touching an intraday high of 2,851.65, while the lowest point was 2,761.27. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 12.10 Arba, with 30,292,452 shares traded across 347 companies through 123,730 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 47.20 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.95 Kharba.

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 71,31 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 786.90.

Five companies hit the upper circuit of 10% that includes RSML, BJHL, SKHL, RLEL, SKHEL and HFIN recorded 9.98% positive change in its prices.

Meanwhile, Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited recorded the Highest fall, falling 9.84% and it's last trading price is Rs. 1,063. The prices changes by 116.0 point from the previous day.

All the sector closes in RED and more than 9 index are fall by 2%. Highest fall is recorded in others index, falling by 5.26% and lowest fall is recorded in manufacturing and processing index, the index looses only 0.39%.
