NEPSE Plunges 21.20 points (1.61%) to Close at 1,382.66; Total Turnover Rs. 1.23 Arba

After a tumultuous display of swing trading, the Nepal Stock Exchange closed in red with 21.20 points loss in the index from the previous close.

The market today closed at 1,382.66 levels, an overall 1.61% decline.

A massive 29.75 points volatility was witnessed in the trading today, wherein the highest level was 1403.88 and the lowest was 1374.13. The open was also the intraday high today.

A total of 3,447,765 shares were traded amounting to Rs. 1,233,963,934 in the turnover amount. 186 scrips were traded via 20,469 transactions.

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 13.61 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 576 per share. It is tailed by Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) in terms of total turnover with a figure of Rs. 9.98 crore. Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited also had the highest number of shares traded for the day among all companies.

Float is down by 1.61 points and is currently at 96.73.

Ajod Insurance Limited (AIL), Aarambha Chautari Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ACLBSL), and Nepal Finance Limited (NFS) hit a positive circuit today.

On the other hand, Ankhukhola Hydropower Company Limited (AKJCL) lost the most 9.84%.
