NEPSE Plunged by 33.36 Points on First Trading of the Week to Close at 1,989.26; All Sectors Except Mutual Funds Closed Red

The NEPSE index closed at 1989.26 today after losing 33.36 points from last trading day. This is a loss of 1.65%.

The index opened at 2,022.36 which is also the intraday high for August 28. Then the index made intraday low at 1989.56 and ultimately closed at 1989.26.

224 scrips traded hands via 43,977 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 6,148,341 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 2.059 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 1.26 Arba.

Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company Limited (UHEWA) shares traded the most while Arun Kabeli Power Ltd (AKPL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 10.3 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 464 per share.

Radhi Bidyut Company Limited (RBCL) gained the highest at only 5.90%.

 

On the other side of things, Ru Ru Jalbidhyut Pariyojana Limited (RURU) lost the highest 10% today.

All sector indices except Mutual Funds closed red, "Finance Index" lost the highest 3.74% while the "Mutual Fund” sector gained by 0.53%.
