NEPSE Open First Trading Day After Tihar With 5.19 Points Gain; NRIC Sees Highest Turnover

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a gain today, gaining 5.19 points (0.20% ) to settle at 2,509.04. This follows a 16.67-point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2,503.44, touching an intraday high of 2,509.08, while the lowest point was 2,469.37. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 2.66 Arba, with 5,596,077 shares traded across 313 companies through 27,899 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 41.94 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.20 Kharba.

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 32.49 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 1,372.00.

10.75% SBL Debenture 2089 (SBLD89) led the gainer's list with 10.00%.

 

Meanwhile, Taragaon Regency Hotel Limited (TRH) recorded the steepest drop, falling 7.16%.

 

Among sectors, the Others Index registered the highest gain, gaining 3.05%, while the Finance Index saw the highest loss at 0.72%.
