NEPSE moves further downward to 1,175.72; Total turnover amount to Rs 20.55 crore

The local bourse at Nepal Stock Exchange registered a fall of 2.78 points to start this week’s trade. The market which had started at 1,178.50 points showed fluctuations throughout the trading period to close at 1,175.72 points.
The total turnover for the day amounted to Rs 20.55 crore which was achieved through the transaction of 6,09,257 unit shares. The shares of 146 listed companies were exchanged through 2,575 transactions.
Nepal Investment Bank Limited Promoter Share (NIBPO) stood ahead in terms of turnover as well as units traded. 94,743 unit shares worth Rs 5,32,53,311 were exchanged during the period.
The shareholders of Ngadi Group Power Limited (NGPL) were the top gainer for the day as the price of the share increased by 7 points to reach Rs 174. Similarly, the shareholders of Karnali Development Bank Limited (KRBL) were the top losers for the day as the price of the share decreased by 6 points to reach Rs 100.
Both the sensitive and float index decreased by 0.57 and 0.18 points respectively.
Only Manufacturing and Production ended in the green zone gaining 14.17 points. Non Life Insurance sector lost 42.48 points which was followed by Microfinance losing 12.62 points.
