NEPSE lost 25.75 points this week; turnover grows by more than 100% due Everest Bank Promoter shares;weekly wrap up of NEPSE Index

NEPSE index movement:

The index opened at 1138.62 points and closed at 1112.87 points with the loss of 25.75 points (2.26%) by making bearish candle one after another. The index has lost 77.80 points in last one month. The candlestick chart of the weekly time-period is shown below

 

The NEPSE has formed stretched bodied bearish candle in last four week. This week's candle is bearish marubozu.

NEPSE index is just 3.55 points above the lowest point of 1109.32 since 2016. The breakdown of this low level could bring more bear in the market.

On the daily time period, kind of marubozu has formed this type of pattern show the selling pressure in the market.

The 5-days EMA (blue line) is below the 20-days EMA (red line) favoring a bearish trend. The space between them is increasing continuously and that supports the bears in the market.

More than 1.023 crore unit of shares of worth Rs 3.07 arba has been traded through 25 thousand transactions this week comparing to 51.10 lakhs unit of shares of worth Rs 1.50 arba last week. The current market capitalization of NEPSE stands at Rs. 1,390,639.65 Million, the market capitalization has decreased by 2.26% this week.

This week, a total of 72 lakhs unit of Everest Bank Promoter's shares of worth Rs 1.91 arba were traded. Thus, this transaction increases the turnover and total traded shares by more than 100%.
