NEPSE Loses Substantial 28.92 Points; SPL Odd-One Out With Positive Circuit Despite Hydel Repulsion

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 1,932.45 points, as the index lost 28.92 points or 1.47% compared to the previous day's closing. The index lost a minimal 6.45 points last Tuesday.
The session kicked off with the index opening at 1,960.72 and made an intraday high of 1,960.78. However, the market reached an intraday low of 1,929.66, before finally settling at the closing value of 1,932.45.
During today's trading, a total of 276 scrips were exchanged through 32,139 transactions, with a substantial volume of shares traded amounting to 3,769,033, representing a turnover of Rs. 1.15 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 28.92 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.18 Kharba.
Liberty Energy Company Limited (LEC) recorded the highest turnover of Rs. 6.15 crores and closed at a market price of Rs. 152.
Similarly, Shuvam Power Limited (SPL) gained the highest 10%, hitting the upper circuit for the day.
Meanwhile, Barahi Hydropower Public Limited (BHPL) lost the highest 9.71% today.
In terms of sector indices, all sector indices closed red. "Hydropower Index" lost the highest 2.52% while "Trading Index" lost the least 0.44% today.
