NEPSE Loses Minimal 2.85 Points and Closes at 2,671.61; Rookie Stock Jyoti Life Insurance (JLI) Gains 7.78%

The NEPSE index lost a minimal 2.85 points today and closed at 2,671.61. The index opened at 2,694.54, which is also the intraday high. The index did not go further than that. While the index did go as low as 2,668.34, it ultimately closed at 2,671.61.

16,593,501 shares traded hands via 76,591 transactions. The trading of 215 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 7.26 Arba.

While the float index lost 0.06 points and closed at 183.82, the Sensitive index is at 476.80 after gaining 0.62 points.

Nepal Infrastructure Bank Limited (NIFRA) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 27.63 crores. The units of the Laxmi Equity Fund (LEMF) traded the most.

The top five highest gainers have technically hit the 10% positive circuit today. Meanwhile, Rairang Hydropower Development Company Limited (RRHP) lost the most 7.26% today.

Seven sectors have lost today while six others closed green. "Trading" lost the most 3.94% and "Hotels and Tourism" gained the most 6.02%.
