NEPSE Loses Minimal 2.82 Points to Close at 1990.59 Levels; Market Cap. at Rs. 29.79 Kharba

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 1,990.59 points, as the index lost 2.82 points or 0.14% compared to the previous day's closing. 

The session kicked off with the index opening at 1,994.63 and made an intraday high of 2,001.72. However, the market reached an intraday low of 1,985.10, before finally settling at the closing value of 1,990.59.

During today's trading, a total of 276 scrips were exchanged through 32,298 transactions, with a substantial volume of shares traded amounting to 3,803,244, representing a turnover of Rs. 1.13 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 29.79 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.49 Kharba.

Machhapuchhre Bank Limited (MBL) recorded the highest turnover of Rs. 10 crores and closed at a market price of Rs. 275.90. MBL, today has announced to payout 14 percent dividends from the Net profits of FY 2079-80. 

Similarly, City Hotel Limited (CITY) gained the highest 9.88%, technically hitting the upper circuit for the day.

Meanwhile, Siddhartha Equity Fund (SEF) lost the highest 7.94% today.

In terms of sector indices, Hotels and Tourism Index and Trading Index closed green with a positive change of 1.30 percent each.
