NEPSE Loses Marginal 3.21 Points to Close at 2048.26 Levels; Market Cap. Stood at Rs. 30. 34 Kharba

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 2,048.26
points, as the index experienced a marginal loss of 3.21 points or 0.15% compared to the previous day's closing. On Sunday, the index experienced a loss of 38.37 points.

The session kicked off with the index opening at 2,051.47 and briefly touching an intraday high of 2,069.73. However, the market reached an intraday low of 2,030.19, before finally settling at the closing value of 2,048.26.

During today's trading, a total of 267 scrips were exchanged through 101,236 transactions, with a substantial volume of shares traded amounting to 6,647,143, representing a turnover of Rs. 2.33 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 30.34 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.72 Kharba.

The two recently IPO-issued and subsequently listed companies IME Life Insurance Company Limited and Nepal Republic Media Limited (NRM) reported the highest turnover, with an impressive amount of Rs. 43.62 crores and 8.25 crores, respectively and closed at a market price of Rs. 615.30 and Rs. 302.90 for the former and the latter. 

The newly listed stock Nepal Republic Media Limited (NRM) Gurkhas Finance Limited (GUFL) gained the highest 9.99% and 9.74%, respectively as they almost hit the positive circuit for the day.

Meanwhile, Chhyangdi Hydropower Limited (CHL) experienced the highest decline of 6.45%.

In terms of sector indices, four sectors closed red with the banking sub-index recording the most lost with 0.94 percent negative change. Meanwhile, the other sub-indices closed green as Finance Index closed with 1.65 percent positive change.
