NEPSE Loses 63.54 Points and Closes at 2,547.04; All Sector Indices Witness Heavy Fall

The NEPSE index closed at 2,547.04 today after losing 63.54 points from last trading day's closing. The index had lost 43.12 points last Monday.

The index opened at 2,612.51 today and did not trade higher. While it went as low as 2,542.28, it ultimately closed at 2,547.04.

228 scrips traded hands via 55,212 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 7,652,204 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 3.621 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than last Monday's turnover of Rs. 3.66 Arba.

Nepal Life Insurance Co. Ltd. (NLIC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 16.18 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 1,184.90 per share. The shares of Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Ltd (HIDCL) traded the most.

Reliance Life Insurance Limited (RLI) gained the highest 4% and closed at Rs. 572. Meanwhile, Himalayan General Insurance Co. Ltd (HGI) has lost the highest 8.26%.

All sector indices closed red. Finance lost the highest 3.65%.
