NEPSE loses 5.90 points to close the day; Minimal turnover represents investors’ mood

NEPSE follows its previous day and closes at 1,189.56 point. The market which had started at 1,195.46 points lost 5.90 points. During the day, 7,09,379 unit shares were traded which resulted in the turnover of Rs 21.29 crore. Shares of 148 listed companies were exchanged through 3,455 transactions.

Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) was the top stock based on turnover as shares worth more than Rs 3.03 crore were traded. It was also the top stock based on units traded as 1,02,889 units shares were exchanged during the day.

The shareholders of Mero Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MERO) gained the most today as the price increased by 37 points. However, the shareholders of Everest Insurance Company (EIC) lost the most as the price decreased by Rs 105.

Both the sensitive index and float index decreased by 1.21 points and 0.49 points respectively.

Out of the sub-indices, Finance and Microfinance landed in the green zone. Microfinance sector recorded 2.34 points while Life Insurance sector lost 32.18 points.
