NEPSE Loses 55.93 Points and Closes at 2,577.49; All Sectors Close Red

The NEPSE index closed at 2,577.49 today after losing 55.93 points from last Thursday's closing. The index had lost 32.51 points last Thursday.

The index opened at 2,637.35 and made the intraday high at 2,640.40. However, it began to lose from there, and the index went as low as 2,573.3, ultimately closing at 2,577.49.

A total of 8,948,937 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 4.113 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than last Thursday's turnover of Rs. 3.7 Arba. 232 scrips traded hands via 52,391 transactions.

Api Power Company Limited (API) had the highest turnover of Rs. 15.06 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 434 per share. The shares of National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) traded the most.

Mailung Khola Jal Vidhyut Company Limited (MKJC) technically hit the 10% positive circuit breaker today by gaining 9.97% while Guheswori Merchant Banking & Finance Limited (GMFIL) lost the most 9.19%.

All sectors lost, with Finance losing the most 4.33%.
