Garima Bikas Bank Joins NEPALPAY Card Network and National Card Switch

Garima Bikas Bank Limited has officially entered into an agreement with Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL) to join the NPS-National Card Switch (NCS) and the domestic NEPALPAY Card scheme. The agreement was signed on July 3, 2025, by Mr. Madhav Prasad Upadhaya, CEO of Garima Bikas Bank, and Mr. Neelesh Man Singh Pradhan, CEO of NCHL.

This collaboration follows NCHL's recent announcement of the readiness of the NPS-NCS infrastructure, which is designed to enable local card issuance and transaction processing through the NEPALPAY Card. Once commercially rolled out, Garima Bikas Bank will be able to issue and acquire NEPALPAY Cards for its customers, reducing reliance on international schemes and promoting cost-effective, interoperable domestic transactions.
