NEPSE Loses 49.18 Points and Closes at 3,044.86; Twelve of Thirteen Sectors Close Red

The NEPSE index closed at 3,044.86 today after losing 49.18 points from last week's closing.

The index opened at 3,105.74 and made the intraday high at 3,112.39. While it went as low as 3,039.03, it ultimately closed at 3,044.86.

A total of 24,888,313 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 15.651 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than last Thursday's turnover of Rs. 13.421 Arba. 227 scrips traded hands via 159,137 transactions.

Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 1.31 Arba closing at a market price of Rs. 775 per share. Its shares also traded the most.

A total of two companies have technically gained 10% today, which is the highest permissible intraday gain for a scrip. On the other side of things, Ru Ru Jalvidut Pariyojana Limited (RURU) lost the most 10% today.

Only the Finance sector gained a minimal 0.67% today. Among all sectors that lost, Hydropower lost the most 2.42%.
