NEPSE loses 4.18 points to end the day; Shareholders of Salt Trading earn the most during the day

Market decreased by 4.18 points to end the day’s trade. The market was at continuous decline from the start of the day. The market closed at 1183.89 points making a fall of 0.35%. The total turnover of Rs.17.95 Crore was achieved from trade of 570,173 units of share through 3,224 transactions trading scrips of 161 companies.
The highest turnover of Rs.1.16 Crore was achieved by Global IME Bank Limited (GBIME). Shares of Premier Insurance Company (PIC) had the second highest turnover of Rs.73.66 Lakhs. More than 39 thousand Global IME Bank Limited (GBIME) were traded today making it today’s top stock by shares traded. Citizens Bank International Limited (CZBIL) stood second in this category with trade of 39,965 units of shares.
Salt Trading Corporation (STC) and Sindhu Bikas Bank Limited (SINDU) were the top gainers after gaining 4.83% and 4.31% respectively. While the top losers for today were Gurkhas Finance Limited (GUFL) and Green Development Bank Limited (GRDBL) after losing 4.54% and 4.44% respectively.
Both Sensitive and Float index lost today. Sensitive index lost 0.83 points and closed at 249.92 points while Float index lost 0.34 points and closed at 85.08 points.
Only Trading, Hydropower, Non-Life Insurance and Others ended in the green zone. Manufacturing and Production sub-index was the highest loser which ended up in loss of 22.85 points.
