NEPSE Loses 37.87 Points and Closes at 2,376.74, Twelve of Thirteen Sector Indices Close Red

The NEPSE index closed at 2,376.74 today after losing 37.87 points from yesterday's closing. This is a loss of 1.57% on the index. The index had lost 4.23 points yesterday.

224 scrips traded hands via 37,236 transactions. The Float index is at 2.41 after losing 1.46% while the Sensitive index lost 1.28% and is now at 453.53.

Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) had the highest turnover of Rs. 9.43 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 330.10 per share. Its shares also traded the most.

Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited (NBB) gained the most 9.99% and closed at Rs. 354.60. Meanwhile, Greenlife Hydropower Limited (GLH) lost the most 7.59% and closed at 365.

Only "Mutual Fund" gained a minimal 0.57%. Among all other sector indices that lost, "Development Bank" lost the most 3.66%.

Technical Analysis Highlights

The index opened at 2,415.77 and made the intraday high at 2,417.21. However, the bulls could not dominate the rest of the market session, and the index went as low as 2,372.87 before ultimately closing at 2,376.74.

A total of 5,379,860 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 2.301 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 4.588 Arba.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is at 33.84. The reading was at 36.09 yesterday. The RSI has broken up from below the "30" level. The zone below the 30 reading indicates oversold conditions. Meanwhile, both the MACD line and the signal line are negative, i.e. below zero, with the MACD reading at -93.74. This reading was at -92.78 yesterday.
