NEPSE loses 2.90 points to end the day; Minimal turnover marks the day

Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has closed the day’s trade by registering fall of 2.90 points. The market which had started at 1,224.36 points closed by losing 0.24% throughout the day.

During the period, 6,86,115 unit shares were traded resulting in minimal turnover of Rs 16.75 crore. Scrip of 164 listed companies were exchanged through 3,336 transactions.

Following yesterday’s pattern, Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) was the top stock based on turnover as shares worth more than Rs 90.21 lakh were exchanged during the day. Similarly, Civil bank Limited (CBL) was the top stock based on the units traded as 40,117 units were traded during the day.

The shareholders of Nepal Seva Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (NSEWA) earned the most as the price increased by 77 points and its LTP stood at Rs 855. However, the shareholders of Chhyangdi Jydropower Limited (CHL) were the top loser for the day as the price decreased by Rs 110.

Both the sensitive index and float index decreased by 0.65 points and 0.38 points respectively.

Out of the sub-indices, only Non-Life Insurance, Manufacturing and Production and Others ended in the green zone. Manufacturing and Production sector gained 30.57 points while Hydropower sector lost 7.37 points.
