NEPSE Loses 2.09% to Close at 1,964.91 Levels; SPL Hit Positive Circuit

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 1,964.91 points, as the index experienced a considerable loss of 42.14 points or 2.09% compared to the previous day's closing. On Wednesday, the index experienced a marginal gain of 39.48 points.

The session kicked off with the index opening at 2,009.99 and made an intraday low at 1,961.05 points. However, the market reached an intraday high of 2,010.86.

During today's trading, a total of 278 scrips were exchanged through 72,477 transactions, with a substantial volume of shares traded amounting to 5,659,458 representing a turnover of Rs. 2.02 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 29.41 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.37 Kharba.

NIC Asia Bank Ltd. (NICA) recorded the highest turnover of Rs. 27.54 crores and closed at a market price of Rs. 814.

Similarly, Shuvam Power Limited (SPL) gained the highest 10%, followed by Three Star Hydropower Limited (TSHL) with 7.89%.

Meanwhile, Molung Hydropower Company Limited (MHCL) lost the highest 9.21% today.

Among the sub-indices, all sub-indices closed red, "Trading Index" lost the highest 3.33 percent while the "Mutual Fund" sub-index lost the least 0.35 percent.
