NEPSE loses 0.50 points to close at 1,205.93 points; Turnover falls to Rs 28.79 crore

NEPSE index has decreased by 0.50 points to close at 1,205.93 points. The market index had started at 1,206.43 points which had recorded upward movement in the initial phase of the day’s trade. However, the market closed at 1,205.93 points losing 0.50 points.

The total turnover for the day amounted to Rs 28.79 crore which was the result of exchange of 8,76,611 unit shares. The shares of 160 listed companies were exchanged through 4,493 transactions.

Agriculture Development Bank Limited (ADBL) stood ahead in terms of turnover as the shares worth Rs 1.48 crore were exchanged during the day. Similarly, Promoter shares of Garima Bikas Bank Limited (GBBLPO) was ahead in terms of shares traded as 65,150 unit shares were traded during the day.

The shareholders of Barun Hydropower Company Limited (BARUN) earned the most from the day’s trade as the price of the share increased by 11 points and its LTP stood at Rs 159. Likewise, the shareholders of Western Development Bank Limited (WDBL) lost the most from today’s trade as the price of the share decreased by 25 points and its LTP stood at Rs 231.

Both the sensitive and float index increased by 0.13 points and 0.01 points respectively.

Out of the sub-indices Banking, Finance and Insurance ended in green zone. Insurance sector gained 5.3 points while Manufacturing & Production sector lost 70.52 points.
