NEPSE initiates the month of September with loss of double digits; index stands at 1184.78 points after 11.63 point loss

On the opening day of the week, the marked lost double digits to close at a low of 1184.78 points. The benchmark index lost 0.97% or 11.63 points. The turnover stood at Rs.29.73 Crore achieved through trade of 1,104,395 units of shares traded through 6,478 transactions trading scrips of 169 listed companies in the process.

Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) posted the highest turnover today of Rs.1.97 Crore with LTP at Rs.808 per share. Kumari bank Limited (KBL) stood ahead in terms of volume with trade of 46,032 units of shares. The LTP of the commercial bank stands at Rs.202 per share.

Sabaiko Laghubitta (SABSL) hit the positive circuit as it gained 9.98% or 44 points and closed at Rs.485 per share. Sanjen Jalavidhyut (SJCL) was today’s top loser after it lost 6.40% or 13 points and closed at Rs.190 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 1.95 points and closed at 259.29 points while Float Index lost 0.80 points and closed at 87.26 points.

Only Finance sector posted a gain today while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points.
