NEPSE Index Upsurges by 32.72 Points and Closes at 2,182.11, API Sees Highest Turnover Among All Scrips

The NEPSE index closed at 2,182.11 today after gaining 32.72 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a gain of 1.52%. The index lost 41.02 points the day before last Thursday.
Today the index opened at 2,152.05 and made an intraday low of 2,136.38. While it went as high as 2,187.79, it ultimately closed at 2,182.11.
250 scrips traded hands via 63,430 transactions. A total of 11,883,287 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 3.724 Arba in turnover amount. This is lower than the last trading day's turnover of Rs. 5.477 Arba.
Api Power Company Ltd. (API) shares traded the most and had the highest turnover of Rs. 23.26 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 297.5 per share.
Three scrips gained the highest 10% each and hit a positive circuit for the day.
On the other side of things, Prabhu Select Fund (PSF) lost the highest 8.45% today.
Only one sector closed red, "Banking" lost 0.29% while "Hotel and Tourism" gained the highest 5.12% today.
