Chamber of Commerce and IRGDD Sign MoU to Strengthen Economic Diplomacy and Investment Promotion
The Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) and the International Relations and Global Diplomacy Dialogue (IRGDD) have entered into an agreement to collaborate on enhancing economic diplomacy and promoting investment. The memorandum of understanding was signed on Tuesday by NCC President and IRGDD Chairperson, during a program held at the Chamber's office in Jamal.
According to the official statement, the two organizations will work together on areas such as trade and investment diplomacy, policy research, capacity development, market promotion of Nepali products, and private sector engagement. The collaboration aims to leverage diplomatic ties and the global Nepali diaspora to explore investment opportunities and expand trade.
The agreement also includes joint research in sectors like economic diplomacy, mobilization of youth workforce, and investment growth. NCC stated that the implementation of the agreement will be reviewed every six months. The Chamber emphasized the need for continuous dialogue and cooperation between diplomatic missions abroad and Nepal’s private sector to strengthen the country’s economic diplomacy.
