Nepse Index surges by 17.61 points with turnover of Rs 1.35 arba; Insurance sector up by 57.26 points

On the first trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange went up by 17.61 points or 1.02% to close at 1748.23 points. Nepse Index opened at 1730.57 points and was seen in upward trend 1, 25,529 unit shares of NIC Asia Bank Limited (NICA), 85,231 unit shares of Lumbini General Insurance Limited (LGIL) were traded more today. United Insurance Limited (UIC), Himalayan General Insurance Limited (HGI) and Shine Resunga Development Bank Limited (SHINE) hit circuit break today. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 1.35 arba, where more than 13.15 lakh units shares were traded through 6,260 transactions. Sensitive index and float index went up by 3.87 and 1.46 points respectively. Except Hotels and Hydropower, all sectors at Nepse landed on green. Insurance sector rises by 57.26 points.
