NEPSE index sloping steeply downward; further dives 29.25 points closing at 1,357.22 points;

NEPSE index has declined by 29.25 points or 2.11% today adding to the massive falls for past few days. The downward trend, which initially was thought to be slight market correction doesn’t see to stop. Today the market had opened at 1,386.47 points and kept sliding down throughout the day ultimately closing in the red zone.
Total turnover worth Rs 63.8 crore was witnessed during the trading hours as more than 1.3 lakh unit shares were traded in the whole day through 6,698 transactions.
Rastriya Beema Company Limited Promoter Share (RBCLPO) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than 2.8 crore worth of shares were traded. Similarly, Siddhartha Bank Limited Promoter Share (SBLPO) was the top in case of number of shares traded as 99,400 unit shares were exchanged.
Likewise, the top gainer for the day is Swadeshi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (SDESI) whose price increased by 5.99% closing at Rs. 1,469. And, Naya Nepal Laghubitta Bikas Bank (NNLB) was the top loser of the day losing 7.57% on its price.
The sub-indices for all sectors ended in red zone today. Insurance sector lost the most today tumbling by 231.12 points. Similarly the sector losing the least is Finance sector falling by 11.61 points.
