NEPSE Index Sees Modest Gain of 8.78 Points to Close at 2,712.86 Level; SOHL Leads Turnover

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a gain today, inclining by 8.78 points (0.32%) to settle at 2,712.86. This comes after fall of of 34.63 points in the previous trading session on yesterday.
The benchmark index opened at 2701.23 and reached an intraday high of 2,726.18, while the day’s low stood at 2,684.62. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 3.43 Arba, with 7,734,012 shares traded across 335 companies through 62,025 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 46.26 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.43 Kharba.
Solu Hydropower Limited (SOHL) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 23.57 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 718.50.
Upper Lohore Khola Hydropower Company Limited (ULHC) Led the gainer's list with 11.16%. The Stock closed at Rs. 538.00.
Meanwhile, Forward Microfinance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (FOWAD) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 9.31%, the last traded price of the company was Rs. 1,143.00.
Among sectors, the HydroPower Index registered the highest gain by 1.02%, while Trading Index recorded highest fall, falling by 0.29%.
