NEPSE Index Sees Modest Gain of 0.14%; Records Market Capitalization of Rs. 30.71 Kharba

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 2,089.84 points, as the index rose by a minimal 3.00 points or 0.14% compared to the previous day's closing. Yesterday the index experienced a gain of 9.25 points.

The session kicked off with the index opening at 2,088.56 and briefly touching an intraday high of 2,109.29. However, the market reached an intraday low of 2,083.92, before finally settling at the closing value of 2,089.84.

During today's trading, a total of 262 scrips were exchanged through 40,774 transactions, with a substantial volume of shares traded amounting to 5,130,520, representing a turnover of Rs. 1.78 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 30.71 Kharba, with the float market capitalization at Rs. 10.88 Kharba.

SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) recorded the highest turnover, with an impressive amount of Rs. 9.23 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 604.70. The shares of PCBL were the most traded.

Support Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (SMB) and NIBL Growth Fund (NIBLGF) gained the highest 10% each and hit the positive circuit for the day.

Meanwhile, Progressive Finance Limited (PROFL) experienced the highest decline of 5.19%.

In terms of sector indices, five sector indices closed in red, the "Trading" sector registered the highest gain of 1.81% whereas the "Finance" sector lost the highest, declining by 1.52%.
