Nepse Index rises slightly by 1.29 points with turnover of Rs 62.20 crore; Insurance sector surges by 72.91 points

On the last trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) went up by 1.29 points or 0.08% to close at 1531.35 points.
Today Nepse Index opened at 1530.05 points and the local bourse went down to 1519.05 points in the second trading hour of the day. After that, it was seen in upward trend.
46,640 unit shares of Everest Bank Limited (EBL) and 41,502 unit shares of Bank Of Kathmandu Lumbini Limited (BOKL) were traded the most today.
Alpine Development Bank Limited (ALDBL) and NB Insurance Company limited (NBIL) hit positive circuit today.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 62.20 crore where more than 7.52 lakh units shares were traded through 4,226 transactions. Manual turnover of Rs 29.26 lakh was seen today.
Sensitive index which measures shares of 'A' class companies went up by 0.31 points whereas float index which measures share value of production companies decreased by by 0.1 points today.
Except Hotels, Insurance and others, all sectors at Nepse landed in red zone. Sub-indices of insurance sector rose by 72.91 points.
