NEPSE index rises by nominal 3.35 points, turnover amount plunges

Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) Index has gained 3.35 points today (0.23%) to close trading at 1479.86.
Today, Nepse Index opened at 1476.51 points, and decreased to 1476.27 in the first trading hour. It eventually rebounded to 1479.86 points, largely influenced by the news of bonus shares of Laxmi Bank Limited (LBL). 21.75 lakhs units of Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme – 1 (SIGS1) and 1.08 lakh units of Civil Bank Limited Promoter shares (CBLPO) were traded the most today. Laxmi Bank had the second highest turnover of over Rs. 3.79 crore.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 32.27 crore where 26.77 lakh unit shares were traded through 2,443 transactions. Khani Khola Hydropower Company Limited (KKHC), Green Development Bank (GRDBL), and Laxmi Bank Limited (LBL) traded at positive circuit levels today.
Karnali Bikas Bank Limited (KRBL), Manjushree Finance Limited (MFIL), and NB Insurance Limited (NBIL) were the top losers today.
Sensitive index increased by 0.92 points and Float index increased by 0.29 points. Only Hotels and Other sectors landed in red today, however, other sectors have increased by nominal points only.
