Nepse Index rises by 9.37 points to close at 1797.45 points; Hydropower sector plunges by 103.31 points

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) went up by 9.37 points or 0.52% to close at 1797.45 points. Opening at 1788.17 points, the local bourse went down to 1781.92 points in first trading hour after that it was seen in upward trend. Hamro Bikas Bank Limited (HAMRO), Shine Resunga Development Bank (SHINE) and Sindhu Bikas Bank Limited (SINDHU) hit circuit break today. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 1.25 arba where more than 17.58 lakh unit shares were traded through 6,189 transactions. Sensitive index and the float index went up by 2.48 points and 0.58 points respectively. Except Hotel and Hydropower, all sectors landed in green. Hydropower plunged by 103.31 points.
