NEPSE Index opens for the week with double digit loss; turnover amount stands at Rs.95.04 Crore

The market opened for the week with double digit loss. The benchmark index close at 1319.99 points today, losing 1.03% or 13.70 points. The turnover amount stood at Rs.95.04 Crore achieved through trade of 2,550,266 units of shares traded through 11,726 transactions trading scrips of 173 listed companies in the process.

Neco Insurance Limited (NIL) posted the highest turnover of Rs.3.88 Crore with LTP at Rs.550 per share. Global IME Bank Limited (GBIME) stood ahead in terms of volume with trade of 125,577 units of shares. The LTP of the commercial bank stock stood at Rs.282 per share.

Swabhimaan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMFBS) was today’s top gainer as it gained 3.88% or 39 points, closing at Rs.1044 per share. Prudential Insurance Company Limited (PICL) was today’s top loser after losing 5.75% or 42 points to close at Rs.688 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 3 points and closed at 281.04 points while Float Index lost 0.97 points and closed at 93.61 points.

Only Manufacturing sector gained 0.70% today while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points. Hotels lost the most at 2.73%.
