NEPSE Index Manages To Close At 2200 Levels, Plummets by 1.19% While Volume Stood at Rs. 4.73 Arba

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 2,200.50 points, as the index shed 26.66 points or 1.19% compared to the previous day's closing. This decline comes after the index experienced a significant surge of 63.24 points on the last trading day.
The session started with the index opening at 2,227.21 and made its intraday high at 2,243.78. Throughout the trading session, it demonstrated downward momentum, reaching an intraday low of 2,194.41, before settling at its closing value of 2,200.50.
In today's trading, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) stood at 67.04, showing a decrease from the reading of 73.07 recorded during the last trading day. Furthermore, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) line has crossed above the zero line, with the current MACD reading standing at 44.79. This optimistic indication follows a previous MACD reading of 36.07 yesterday.
During today's trading, a total of 265 scrips were exchanged through 74,161 transactions, with a substantial volume of shares traded amounting to 20,979,887, representing a turnover of Rs. 4.73 Arba. The Float index lost 1.44% and currently stands at 152.58, while the Sensitive index also saw a decrease of 1.44% and now sits at 418.78.
The market capitalization stood at Rs. 3.23 Trillion whereas the float market capitalization stood at Rs. 1.14 Trillion.
Among the stocks, Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) recorded the highest turnover, with an impressive amount of Rs. 25.56 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 800. The shares of SFMF were the most actively traded.
Notably, Kisan Lagubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (KLBSL) recorded the highest gain of 10% hitting the positive circuit for the day.
On the other hand, NIBL Growth Fund (NIBLGF) sees the highest decline of 6.93%.
In terms of sector indices, only two sectors closed in the green, with the "Others" sector leading the way with a gain of 2.87%. The "Development Bank" sector registered the highest loss, declining by 3.50%.
