Nepse Index lost 26.35 points to close at 1544.60 points; Minimal Turnover above Rs 64.82 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) dropped by 26.35 points or 1.68% to close at 1544.60 points. Market opened at 1,570.96 points today and was seen in downward trend. 113,276 units shares of Siddhartha Bank Limited (SBL) and 100,454 unit shares of Mega Bank Limited (MEGA) were traded most today as both the bank declared bonus and right share. Namaste Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NBSL), Arun Finance Limited (ARUN) and Mirmire Microfinance Development Bank Limited (MMFDB) hit circuit break today. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 64.82 crore where more than 8.91 lakh units’ shares were traded through 4,991 transactions. Sensitive and float index went down by 5.84 and 2.08 points respectively. Except Manufacturing and Production, all the sub-indices landed in the red zone today.  Insurance sub-group witnessed the biggest drop of 173.38 points followed by hotels.
