Nepse Index inches up by 6.28 points with turnover of Rs 78.09 crore; Insurance sector surges by double digit

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) surged by 6.28 points or 0.37% to close at 1706.28 points. NEPSE index opened at 1701.72 points, and was seen in upward trend. 83,676. units shares of Civil Bank Limited (CBL) and 60,427 unit shares of Bank of Kathmandu Lumbini Limited (BOKL) were traded most today. Garima Bikas Bank Limited (GBBL) hit circuit break as its trading resumed today after successful merger with Subhechha Bikas Bank Limited. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 78.09 crore where more than 8.56 lakh units’ shares were traded through 4,178 transactions. Sensitive and float index went up by 1.39 and 0.55 points respectively. Except Development Bank, Hydropower and Others, all trading groups landed in green. Insurance sector rose by 43.25 points. Sub-indices of Development Banks , Hydropower and others group dipped by 5.28  points, 3.56 points and 1.45 points respectively. sector traded tran turnover gain losers
