Nepse Index inches up by 2.50 points after Tihar festival; Minimal turnover of Rs 53.85 crore

 After Tihar festival, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) surges by 2.50 points or 0.14% to close at 1762.21 points. Opening at 1760.03 points, the local bourse went down to 1753.63 points during third trading hour of the day and after that it was seen in upward trend. 316,495 unit shares of Civil Bank Limited (CBL) and 76,193 Siddhartha Equity Oriented Scheme (SEOS) were traded most today NMB Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited and Janauthhan Laghubitta Bikas Bank Limited (JSLBB) hit circuit break today. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 53.85 crore where more than 8.72 lakh units’ shares were traded through 3,271 transactions. Sensitive and float index went down by 0.52 and 0.26 points respectively. Except Banking, Development Banks and, Finance, sub-indices of all trading groups landed in red. Development Bank  rose by 26.11 points. Sub-indices of Hotels ,Hydropower, Insurance  and others  group dipped by 7.97  points, 6.13 points, 31.21 points  and 9.83 points respectively, gain lose sect traded trans turn
