NEPSE Index gains for fourth consecutive day; five companies hit the circuit, four positive and one negative

The market gained for the fourth consecutive day, gaining 0.37% or 5.24 points today. The benchmark index was at 1389 points at its lowest and closed at 1405.25 points. The turnover amount stood at Rs.1.62 Arba achieved through trade of 3,455,982 units of shares traded through 15,053 transactions trading scrips of 177 listed companies in the process.

Shivam Cements Limited (SHIVM) dominated the trade today with turnover of Rs.14.71 Crore achieved through trade of 234,747 units of shares. The stock gained 17 points or 2.73% and closed at Rs.640 per share.

Four companies hit the positive circuit, they were Asha Laghubitta (ALBSL), Samudayik Laghubitta (SLBSL), Bottlers Nepal Terai (BNT) and Kalika Development Bank Limited (KMCDB). Multipurpose Finance Company (MPFL) hit the negative circuit as it lost 9.55% or 13 points and closed at Rs.123 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 0.99 points and closed at 295.94 points while Float Index gained 0.34 points and closed at 99.54 points.

Microfinance sector gained the most today at 4.34% or 104.39 points while Non-Life Insurance sector lost the most at 0.78% or 52.78 points.
