NEPSE index falls to 1258.29 points after loss of 2.78 points today; Himalayan Distillery Limited posts turnover of Rs.19.42 Crore

The market today opened with a brief gain, however it stood to lose 0.22% or 2.78 points. The benchmark index closed at 1258.29 points. The turnover today was worth Rs.57.01 Crore achieved from trade of 1,413,357 units of shares traded through 6,842 transactions trading scrips of 167 listed companies in the process.

Today’s highest turnover was posted by Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) at Rs.19.42 Crore with its LTP standing at Rs.1690 per share. However, Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) stood ahead in terms of volume with trade of 127,349 units of shares. The LTP of the commercial bank stands at Rs.331 per share.

Nepal Agro Laghubitta (NAGRO) hit the positive circuit today as it gained 9.95% or 42 points and closed at Rs.464 per share. Gurans Laghubitta (GLBSL) was today’s top loser after it lost 6.36% or 28 points and closed at Rs.412 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 0.63 points and closed at 270.81 points while Float Index lost 0.24 points and closed at 92.31 points.

Trading, Hotels, Others and Mutual Funds were among gaining sub-indices while rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points.
