NEPSE Index Falls 26.07 Points to Settle at 2,798.83; Turnover Around Rs.11.97 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, loosing by 26.07 points (0.92%) to settle at 2,798.83. This follows a 23.87 point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2827.34, touching an intraday high of 2,827.62, while the lowest point was 2,792.13. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 11.97 Arba, with 30,790,211 shares traded across 345 companies through 102,759 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 47.43 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 16.13 Kharba.


Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company Ltd (AKJCL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 68.77 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 396.00


Four Companies Hit Upper Circuit with 10.00% each.


Meanwhile, Siddhartha Equity Fund (SEF) recorded the steepest drop, falling 4.39%.


Among sectors, the Manufacturing and Processing registered the highest gain, gaining 0.25%, while the Banking Subindex saw the highest loss at 1.61%.
