Nepse Index down by 0.85 points to close at 1216.11 points; Manufacturing & Production up by 51.27 points

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange went down by 0.85points or 0.07% to close at 1,216.11points. Today nepse index opened at 1217.30 points and was seen fluctuating today. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 38.67crore where more than 5 lakhs unit shares were traded through 1,696 transactions. 41,440 unit shares of Dev Bikas Bank were traded today and its share price closed at Rs 220. The rumors of Dev Bikas Bank being merged with a commercial bank has caused sudden increase in the shares traded of Dev Bikas Bank. Sensitive index and the float index went down by 0.12 points and 0.18 points respectively. Except Banking, Hotels and Insurance, all the sectors at Nepse landed in red. Manufacturing & production sector went up by 51.27 points.
