NEPSE Index Couldn't Sustain Yesterday's Gain; Plummets 0.97% Today While Volume Stood at Rs. 1.13 Arba

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 1967.57 points, as the index lost double-digits i.e. 19.42 points or 0.97% compared to the previous day's closing. The index gained 43.30 points yesterday.

The session kicked off with the index opening at 1,986.99 and made an intraday high of 1,998.54. However, the market reached an intraday low of 1,962.71, before finally settling at the closing value of 1,967.57.

During today's trading, a total of 276 scrips were exchanged through 26,302 transactions, with a substantial volume of shares traded amounting to 3,916,161 representing a turnover of Rs. 1.13 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 29.45 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.38 Kharba.

 

Nepal SBI Bank Limited (SBI) recorded the highest turnover of Rs. 7.56 crores and closed at a market price of Rs. 338.

Similarly, Shuvam Power Limited (SPL) gained the highest 9.99%, hitting the upper circuit for the day.

Meanwhile, Three Star Hydropower Limited (TSHL) lost all 10% today.

In terms of sector indices, only "Mutual Fund" closed in green. "Hotels And Tourism Index" lost the highest 1.98% while the "Others Index" lost the least 0.24% today.
