NEPSE index continues its red dance; lost 0.89 points throughout the day closing at 1,187.32

The NEPSE index closed in red today too losing 0.89 points or 0.07%. The market had opened at 1,188.23, experienced 2 points climb within the first hour and then went downhill again closing at 1,187.32 points.

The total turnover for the day stood at Rs 14.91 crore with 4.74 lakh shares traded via 3,167 transactions.

First Micro Finance Development Bank (FMDBL) had the highest turnover of the day worth Rs 84.48 crore with LTP standing at Rs 438. Similarly, FMDBL also had the highest number of shares traded counting to 19,500 scrips.

The top gainer for the day is Support Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha (SMB) climbing by 9.92% points closing at Rs 1,241. On the other hand the top loser is Naya Nepal Laghubitta Bikas Bank (NNLB) losing 37 points closing at Rs 658.

The subindices for all sectors went downhill except Hotels, Hydropower and Others sector. The Hotels sector is the winner gaining 37.46 points, whereas the Life Insurance sector is the loser plunging by 22.36 points.
