NEPSE index closes in positive note; total turnover remains low at Rs 20.85 crore

In the first trading hour, NEPSE Index went downward from 1239.22 points to reach intra-day low at 1235.42, and then it moved upward for next one and half hour. At around 1.10 pm, index hit intraday high at 1242.79 points. Then it moved sharply downward and consolidated for around 1 hour near the intra-day low and then in last 11 minutes NEPSE index gains 5 points,closing at the green note.  Market was not volatile but large fluctuation was captured. In last 11 minutes, market went from red zone to the green zone.

Market today had opened at 1239.22 point and went through the large fluctuation to end it at 1242.07 points with 0.23% increment.

Total turnover worth Rs 20.85 crore was witnessed during the trading hours as more than 6.2 lakh unit shares were traded in the whole day through 3,975 transactions. All these three units are relatively week comparing to last couple of weeks. 

Grameen Bikas Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (GBLBS) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than Rs 1.35 crores worth of shares was traded.

Similarly, Mega Bank (MEGA) had top in case of number of shares traded as 78,227 unit shares were exchanged.

Radhi Bidyut company (RADHI) was the top gainer for the day, whose price increases nearly to upper circuit limit by 9.96% closing at Rs. 265.

Karnali Development Bank (KRBL) was the top loser of the day by losing 7.25% on its price hence closing at Rs 115.

The sub-index for others sector slanted and loss 0.44%, while the sub-indices for rest of the sectors inflate and landed in the green zone.

Hotels sector gained most with 0.95 % increment (17.64 points).

NEPSE sensitive index gained 0.2%, and closed at 260.99 points.
