NEPSE index closed in red zone by losing 8.97 points; Samata Microfinance hit the upper circuit limit

Today, Market had opened at 1235.31 points, it moved slowly upward in the first 20 minutes and reached the intraday high at 1236.39. Then index moved downward for next one and half hours and after that we saw little retracement of two points. Then market moved downward and reached intra-day low at 1224.10 points, then it consolidated and at the last 3 minutes, NEPSE index gain 2 points and closed at 1226.18 points by losing 0.73%.

Total turnover worth Rs 20.84 crore was witnessed during the trading hours as more than 5.87 Lakh unit shares were traded in the whole day through 3,014 transactions.

Nepal Bank limited (NBL) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than Rs 2.67 crores worth of shares was traded.

Again, Nepal Bank (NBL) had top in case of number of shares traded as 89,339 unit shares were exchanged.

Samata Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha (SAMATA) was the top gainer for the day, whose price increased by 9.98% closing at Rs. 2,159.

Radhi Bidyut Company (RADHI) was the top loser of the day; closed at Rs 250 by losing 4.5%.

The sub-indices for all the sector has decreased and ends in red zone.

Among losers, Development Bank sector lost the most by losing 1.01% (14.48 points).
