NEPSE Index Climbs By 1.73% to Settle at 2,851.24; Eight Scrips Hit Upper Cricuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) surged significantly today, gaining by 48.71 points (1.73%) to settle at 2,851.24. In the previous session, the market closed at a gain of 45.12 points.

The benchmark index opened at 2,805.18, touching an intraday high of 2,854.66, while the lowest point was 2,797.49. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 9.91 Arba, with 27,931,770 shares traded across 338 companies through 108,869 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 48.47 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 16.31 Kharba.

 

National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 43.47 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 307.00.


Eight companies hit the upper circuit that includes ANLB, RSML, BJHL, RLEL, SOHL, SKHL, HFIN, SKHL and SKHEL.


Meanwhile, NIC Asia Balanced Fund (NICBF) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 6.74% and it's last trading price is Rs. 9.83.

 

All of the sectors closed in green. Among sectors, the Others Index registered the highest gain, gaining 3.43%, while the Mutual Fund saw the least gain at 0.13%.
