NEPSE index climbs 5.77 points closing at 1,366.15 points; no significant movement recorded today

The NEPSE index today has climbed by 5.77 points or 0.42% today. The market experienced a total turnover worth Rs. 76.83 crores today. A total of 14.65 lakh unit shares were traded through 7,715 transactions.

The market today had opened at 1,360.48 points today. Minor fluctuations were see throughout the trading hours and the index ultimately ended in green zone gaining 5.77 points.

Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) captured the top position today in respect to total turnover as 5.77 crore worth shares of NBL were traded. Similarly, NBL also bagged the top position for total number of shares traded as more than 1.6 lakh unit shares were traded.

The top gainer for the day is Suryodaya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (SLBS) gaining 9.52% on its price closing at Rs. 1,530. On the other hand, the top loser for the day is Miteri Development Bank (MDB) losing 5.11% on its price closing at Rs. 334.

The sub-indices for all sectors except Hotels and Others climbed and closed in green today. The Insurance sector gained the most climbing by 75.62 points. Similarly, Hotels sector lost the most today, tumbling by 8.67 points.
