NEPSE in the green after a long time; Turnover more than 19 Crore

After continuously falling for more than seven trading days, the market today saw an increase of 1.37 points and closed at 1177.09 points. The market that was in the red zone since morning, entered the green zone in last 45 minutes of trade. The turnover stood at Rs.19.05 Crore which was achieved from trade of 622,801 units of shares through 3,274 transactions trading scrips of 154 companies.

Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) topped the turnover with Rs.1.63 Crore followed by NMB Bank (NMB) and NLG Insurance Company (NLG). Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank (MLBL) shares were the most traded today after trade of 48,038 units of shares. While NMB Bank and Century Commercial Bank Promoters Shares (CCBLPO) were second and third respectively.

Top gainer for today was Global IME Laghubitta (GILB) after gaining 3.94% marking an increase of 40 points in the share price. Other gainers were NIC Asia Bank (NICA) which gained 3.83% and Garima Bikas Bank (GBBL) which gained 3.24%.

Summit Microfinance Development Bank (SMFDB) stood as the top loser for today after losing 3.40% marking a fall of 25 points. RSDC Laghubitta (RSDC) and Ngadi Group Power (NGPL) lost 3% and 2.87% respectively.

Sensitive Index gained 0.19 points while Float Index gained 0.15 points.

Hydropower, Other and Life Insurance sub-indices were the only ones in the red zone, all the other sub-indices were in the green zone.
