NEPSE goes green after long period of drought; market closes at 1,194.50 points after registering increment by 12.84 points

NEPSE registered an increment of 12.84 points as the market closed at 1,194.50 points. The market which had started at 1,181.66 points remained volatile during the initial hours. The total turnover for the day was of only Rs 19.16 crore which was achieved through the exchange of 6,73,053 unit shares. The shares of 158 listed companies were exchanged during the trading period through 2,912 transactions.
Nepal Investment Bank Limited (NIB) stood ahead in terms of total turnover as the shares worth more than Rs 1.60 crore were exchanged during the trading period. Jalabidyut Lagani tatha Bikas Company Limited (HIDCL) stood ahead in terms of units of shares traded as 34,091 units were traded during the day.

The shareholders of Naya Nepal Laghubitta Bikas Bank Limited (NNLB) earned the most today as the price increased by 61 points and its LTP stood at Rs 671. However, the shareholders of Tinau Development Bank Limited (TNBL) lost the most during the day’s trade as the price decreased by 8 points and the LTP stood at Rs 173.
Both the sensitive index and float index increased by 2.46 points and 1.04 points respectively.
Out of the 11 sub-indices, only Hotels sector ended without any changes. Non-Life Insurance sector gained 133.51 points which was followed by Life Insurance gaining 54.86 points.
