NEPSE Gains Subtly to Close at 2,658.66 Levels; SHPC Leads Turnover While Overall Volume Stood at Rs. 13.18 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a gain today, gaining by 2.80 points (0.10%) to settle at 2,658.66. This follows a 0.47-point gain in the previous session.
The benchmark index opened at 2,652.18, touching an intraday high at 2,679.74, while the lowest point was 2,652.13. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 13.18 Arba, with 33,637,966 shares traded across 318 companies through 105,635 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.29 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 14.93 Kharba.
Sanima Mai Hydropower Ltd. (SHPC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 95.16 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 643.50.
Two scrips indices led the gainers' list, hitting the upper circuit limit each.
Meanwhile, Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company Limited (UHEWA) recorded the steepest drop, falling 2.04%.

Among sectors, the Hotel and Tourism Index registered the highest increase, gaining 4.69%, while the Finance Index saw the highest loss at 1.22%.
